Operate the Arm from outside of any crossing arms and from the spring shaft.

INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT

Where to mount and configure Raptor Z – ISO3?

overview

  • Step 1: Mount the arm to Speed rail (scaffold) 48 – 51mm
  • Step 2: Install Arm to Female Mitchell
  • Step 3: Install Raptor ISO3
  • Step 4: Install Vibration (if any) and Payload
  • Step 5: Adjust Spring
  • Step 6: Adjust Raptor Z arm Dampener
  • Step 7: Raptor ISO3 – Tilt Dampener tension pre-setting
  • Step 8: Raptor ISO3 – Roll Dampener tension pre-setting

Extra: Exchange the springs (from Single Springs to Heavy Springs and vice versa)

STEP 1

Mount the arm to Speed rail (scaffold) 48 – 51mm

Mounting the Raptor Z Pro is as simple as clamping it to a standard 48 – 51mm Pole. Connect the Arm on Pole with two single clamps at the back of the arm. Other standard grip components such as Poles and clamps can be mixed to provide different vehicle mounting configurations.

STEP 2

Install Arm to Female Mitchell

Using M10x25 screws (in the box) to assemble Arm to Female Mitchell to Raptor Z arm.

STEP 3

Install Raptor ISO3

Build in Raptor ISO3 under Arm to Female Mitchell via Mitchell-based.

STEP 4

Install Vibration (if any) and Payload

Assemble Vibration and Payload under Raptor ISO3 via Mitchell-based.

STEP 5

Adjust Springs

Loosen the locking nuts of each spring. Use a 13mm wrench (included), turn the leveling springs clockwise to add tension, and raise the arm; turning it anti-clockwise will release tension and lower it. After setting, re-lock the locking nuts of each spring.

NOTE: Adjust both springs equally. The correct position should be at 10-15 degrees

STEP 6

Adjust Raptor Z Arm Dampener

To smoothen Spring Tension, turn the adjustment knob. If the arm is too soft, turn it towards the direction of H (Hard). If the Arm is rigid, turn it towards the direction of S (Soft).

NOTE: The valves should always be adjusted evenly and set identically. Rebound and compression of the hydraulic valves should be put in such a way so that any loose swinging or vibration of the arm is eliminated.

STEP 7

Raptor ISO3 – Tilt Dampener tension pre-setting

  1. Mount your gimbal to the Raptor Z – ISO3 arm before to tune
  2. To smoothen the dampener, turn the adjustment knob (H to S).
  3. Tilt the ISO3 until it reaches the stop. The ISO3 should NOT swing back and forth but be tensioned just enough to go back into a neutral position. Of course, this tension might be altered depending on road surface and scenario (speed, terrain, and so forth).

STEP 8

Raptor ISO3 – Roll Dampener tension pre-setting

  1. Mount your gimbal to the Raptor Z – ISO3 arm before to tune
  2. To smoothen the dampener, turn the adjustment knob (H to S).
  3. Roll the ISO3 until it reaches the stop. The ISO3 should NOT swing back and forth but be tensioned just enough to go back into the neutral position. Of course, this tension might be altered depending on road surface and scenario (speed, terrain, and so forth).
