1. What’s new in the Raptor Air compared to the Raptor Z Arm?

The most significant upgrade in the Raptor Air is the transition from hydraulic dampers and spring adjustments to an advanced air suspension fork.

Instead of swapping springs to match different payloads, filmmakers can now fine-tune the air pressure to achieve optimal performance across a wide range of camera setups.

This upgrade allows the Raptor Air arm to support:

• Up to 35kg payload when combined with vibration solutions such as Raptor ISO, Raptor XY, or C35 Vibration Isolator
• Up to 64kg payload when configured as a Twin Z setup

Some users have also successfully used Raptor Air with the DJI Ronin 4D, allowing lighter setups that were not previously supported by the Raptor Z arm.

2. Can I use Raptor Z Arm accessories with the Raptor Air?

Yes. Most Raptor Z arm accessories are compatible with the Raptor Air, except Heavy Springs, which are no longer required due to the air suspension system.

4. Which tubes are recommended to mount the Raptor Air?

The Raptor Air arm is designed for 48–51mm speed rails, which are widely used in car rigging systems.

5. How is the Raptor Air arm different from other arms on the market?

Flexible system integration: The Raptor Air can operate independently or be combined with vibration control solutions such as:

• ISO Dampener
• XY Vibration
• Vibration Isolators

All connections can be made quickly via Mitchell base mounting.

Fast setup: Thanks to the Quick Release design, filmmakers can go from unboxing to a fully mounted car rig within minutes.

Wide payload range: 

• The air suspension fork allows the Raptor Air to support payloads from light setups up to 35kg.
• For heavier setups, two arms can be combined into a Twin Z configuration, supporting up to 64kg payload.

6 – Can the Raptor Air be used for overslung and underslung setups?

Yes. The Raptor Air arm supports both overslung and underslung configurations, depending on the front mount you use.

7 – Can I combine 1x Raptor Air and 1x Raptor Z Arm in a Twin Z setup?

No. The lift range and configuration of the Raptor Air and Raptor Z arm are different, so they are not compatible in the same Twin Z setup.

6 – How to switch between underslung and overslung setups?

This depends on the front mount adapter you use.

• Arm to Female Mitchell: You need to remove the adapter, flip it, and reinstall it.
• Arm to Dual Mitchell: Simply move your camera payload between Mitchell mounts, making the switch much faster.
