Introducing the Raptor Air – New Release!

We’re excited to unveil the Raptor Air, our latest shock-absorbing arm featuring a cutting-edge air suspension fork. Designed to support payloads between 10 to 30 kg, it’s the ideal solution for 3-axis gimbal systems such as the DJI Ronin 2, Movi Pro, Movi XL, Shotover G1, and more.

The Raptor Air is engineered to eliminate high-frequency vibrations while minimizing low-frequency oscillations, making it the perfect choice for filming on both rugged terrains and smooth roads.

“The Raptor Air is not only stronger but also easier to adjust. Thanks to its air suspension fork, it effortlessly accommodates a wide range of systems, from lightweight to heavy setups,” says SteadiHan.

What’s new in the Raptor Air compared to the Raptor Z Arm?

The most significant upgrade is the switch from hydraulic dampers and spring adjustments to an advanced air suspension fork. Now, instead of swapping springs for different payloads, users can fine-tune the air fork for seamless performance, regardless of the setup.

Compatibility and Accessories

The Raptor Air is compatible with the Raptor ISO3, Raptor XY2, and Z Pro Head. Most accessories for the Raptor Z Arm will work with the new arm, except for the Heavy Springs.

Accessories include:

  • Bump Stop: Installed on speed rails to ensure the shock-absorbing arm stays within a safe range—ideal for camera car tracking shots.

  • Extension: Extends the lift range of the arm and is placed between the back mount and arm to maintain the payload capacity.

  • Quick Release: Allows fast connection between the arm and the front Mitchell-mount or Z Pro Head. Included as a default in the Raptor Air package for underslung setups.

  • Back Mount Options:

    • Single 48–51mm Speed Rail: The default and widely used setup in filming. Back up HERE
    • Dual Speed Rail: Supports double-tube mounting.
    • Arm to Male Mitchell Adapter: Converts the back mount for Mitchell-based setups, perfect for mounting on dollies or other Mitchell-based rigs.
    • Raptor Ultra Mount: Enables rooftop mounting of the arm, featuring a built-in bump stop for added protection.

Underslung and Overslung Setup Guide

For each camera gimbal configuration, it’s essential to confirm the compatibility of modular components. Raptor Z Pro Head or combo of ISO3 + C35 Vibration Isolator for optimized stability work in underslung only. Raptor XY2 can handle both underslung and overslung configurations with the C35 Vibration Isolator.

  • Underslung options:

    • Raptor Z Pro
    • Raptor Z – ISO3 + C35 Vibration Isolator
    • Raptor Z – XY2 + C35 Vibration Isolator
  • Overslung options:

    • Raptor Air + C35 Vibration Isolator
    • Raptor Z – XY2 + C35 Vibration Isolator

For each setup, you’ll also need to choose between a back mount extension and a front Mitchell-mount (single or dual Mitchell).
