Looking for a compact and mobile vehicle to support your Steadicam or camera shots with shock-absorbing arm compatibility? The Raptor Rickshaw 3 has always been a top-tier option. But if you’re after a more budget-friendly alternative, the new Raptor Rickshaw Lite is here for you.
What’s Inside the Raptor Rickshaw Lite?
Born from the legacy of the Raptor Rickshaw 3, Rickshaw Mini, and the Steadicam Cart, the Raptor Rickshaw Lite offers a streamlined yet versatile setup. It strikes the perfect balance—less bulky than the Raptor Rickshaw 3, yet more spacious and comfortable than the Mini.

The Raptor Rickshaw Lite comes built-in with the R3 Mitchell Cheese Plate, allowing for flexible mounting of a wide variety of components. Compatible accessories include:
- Floor Flange
- Male Euro Mount
- Universal Plate to Mitchell
- Male Mitchell to 48.3mm Tube
- Male Mitchell to EURO Mount
- Mitchell Riser
The seat set (with seat post) and 10-inch caster wheels are inherited directly from the Raptor Rickshaw 3 design.
The 10” Fat Wheels, inspired by the Steadicam Cart, deliver smoother movement on flat surfaces and work exceptionally well in studio environments.

Introducing the Lite Handle
The Lite Handle includes a 48.3mm starter for connecting 48.3mm swivel clamps, making it fully compatible with the Universal Mounting Kit. It also features M8 threaded holes along the handle for attaching accessories.

This upgraded handle design includes serrated teeth for improved grip and rigidity, supporting payloads up to 150kg. It’s the same refined design seen on the Butt Dolly Handle and Steadicam Cart.

Accessory Compatibility
The Raptor Rickshaw Lite supports almost all accessories designed for the Raptor Rickshaw 3, except for the Extension Handle and R3 Pull Bar.

Since the Lite uses a different wheel mounting bracket than the R3, you can pair it with Fat Wheels or Mini Spoke Wheels using the Universal Wheel Fender, which offers greater flexibility and support for larger wheels.
Lite vs. Raptor Rickshaw Mini
Both the Lite and Mini share the same width, making them ideal for narrow-space shooting.
Like the Mini, the Lite also features a foldable design, making it easy to store and transport.

The Lite evolves from the Mini’s handle system, now stronger and more stable. With this release, we officially close the chapter on the Raptor Rickshaw Mini. If you’re still interested in customizing the Mini, we offer a Mini Cheese Plate custom service, with a lead time of 2–3 weeks.
Lite vs. Raptor Rickshaw 3
While the Raptor Rickshaw Lite handles most filming demands, if you’re planning extreme shoots—like high-speed tracking through forests—we recommend testing the Lite in your environment first before committing to production.
Speed Rail Compatibility Questions
Recently, many have asked about compatibility with various speed rail sizes. The Raptor Rickshaw 3 is optimized for the 48.3mm speed rail standard. If you’re working with 45mm or 50mm rails, the Rickshaw Lite may offer better adaptability.
We highly recommend watching [this video] to understand how to use each essential component with the Raptor Rickshaw Lite.
One key part to consider is the Floor Flange—contact us for a custom solution tailored to your gear. If purchased with the Lite, we’ll offer a discounted bundle price.
For the starter on the handle, you can order from Modern Studio, or we can custom-make one for you.
Please note: we do not offer customizations for Sleeve Joint Tubes or Dual Clamps, but you can easily source them in your local market.
