Custom Rigging Solutions: From Setup to Shot

Today we’re kicking off our first collection of Custom Rigging Solutions — from setup to shot. We’ve pulled together five creative camera rigs that filmmakers around the world have been using with the Raptor Rickshaw and Raptor Trike. Hopefully you’ll pick up some inspiration for your next shoot.

1. Custom Motorbike Driving Scenes

There are plenty of ways to capture actors on a motorbike, but nothing beats keeping it simple and production-friendly. Big thanks to Senior… for trusting the Raptor Trike with their full cinema setup.

With its front Mitchell mount, the Trike makes rigging straightforward while keeping operation smooth. Even the actor can hop on and get going in minutes. Check out the BTS to see how this setup came together.

2. Simulating the Sun

For one ad shoot, SteadiHan and his crew went big: an Aputure 1200 mounted on a Movi XL stabilizer, circling talent with the Raptor Trike.

They paired it with sweeping moves from a Moviebird 45 crane to recreate the motion of sunlight — exactly what the director envisioned.

3. Football & Beyond

Does this look familiar? Here’s a test from Eizo Service using the Raptor Rickshaw 3 with their custom rig. You’ll see not just how the rig works, but also the final results.

From Dubai, Romany Mansour shared his Rickshaw stadium work,

While in Spain, Grip Crew SLU adapted a similar setup for bowling alley shots. Proof that this versatile rig isn’t just for football — it’s ready for all kinds of action. Learn more HERE

4. Crane + Stabilizer Rigging

For Mondrian Doha’s 7th anniversary campaign, cinematographer Cenon Costales combined a Panther Pixy Crane with a DJI Ronin 2, mounted onto the Raptor Rickshaw 2.

The result? A setup that was efficient, flexible, and production-friendly. Here are a few more configurations you can take inspiration from.

5. Custom Scooter, E-Bike & More

The team at My Grips (Egypt) used the Raptor Rickshaw to film a child actor riding a scooter in a SODIC Real Estate commercial. The rig kept things smooth and safe, even with a moving kid on set.

They later rigged an EGIKE C125 e-bike for a National Bank of Egypt teaser, capturing fresh, dynamic riding shots.

And with a similar setup, SteadiHan’s crew filmed in Dat Rung Phuong Nam using a 1940s rickshaw, blending vintage atmosphere with modern stabilization. Learn more HERE

That’s five custom rigging setups trusted by filmmakers worldwide with the Raptor Trike and Raptor Rickshaw.
